Mary Hearty - Nourish and Perform
My name is Mary Hearty, I have been practicing as a Nutritional Therapist since 2014. I also teach private and group swim lessons and I coach in both running & triathlon. I currently compete in running and triathlons. I have medalled in running at both county and National levels. I have completed a number of marathons and regularly have run sub 3hrs, with a PB of 2.57. In triathlons I competed at all levels from sprint to Ironman distance and I regularly medal overall or in my age group. I have qualified for the 70.3 World Championships 4 times.
I obtained my Diploma in Nutritional Therapy after 4 years of study with The Institute of Health Sciences. Also with the Institute of Health Sciences I completed my Functional Sports Nutrition qualification. I have completed my Level 1, 2 and Diploma in Triathlon Coaching with British Triathlon. I am a qualified Level 2 Swimming Instructor with Swim Ireland. In the past I worked as a gym instructor.
In my work as a Nutritional Therapist I work with a wide range of clients to include athletes, those with digestive disorders, immune dysfunction, low energy, cardiovascular issues and many other health complaints. As a swim instructor I work with a range of swimmers from beginners to those competing at Ironman competitions.
I work to help clients improve their health or to help athletes improve their fitness levels, nutrition and or improve their swim technique. My main goal is to improve the health of my clients using my knowledge & experience.
